Bacon Wrapped Grilled Corn on the Cob Recipe
Ingredients:
- 8 ears corn
- 1 pound bacon
Directions:
Gently pull back the husk exposing the corn. Do not remove the husk.
Remove the corn silk and use a brush to make sure all the silk is
removed. Soak the corn with the silks removed in water for 30 minutes.
Preheat a grill to medium heat. Remove from the water and pat dry.
Take a strip of bacon and wrap it around the corn. Fold the corn leaves
back over, covering the bacon and corn. Tie the leaves with butcher
twine and repeat the process for each ear of corn. Place the ears
of corn on the hot grill and cook, turning occasionally until bacon
is cooked and corn is tender, approximately 15 to 20 minutes. This
recipe for Bacon Wrapped Grilled Corn on the Cob serves/makes 8.
Barbecued Portabella Brisket Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sweet paprika
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic or onion powder
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 4 large Portabella caps
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
Directions:
Preheat grill or broiler.
To prepare barbeque rub: in a small bowl, combine
brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, celery
seed and red pepper. Brush mushrooms with melted butter. Rub half
a teaspoon of the barbeque rub on both sides of each portabella.
Grill mushrooms, turning once, until they are browned and tender,
about 10 minutes.
To serve: Slice portabellas on an angle and serve
with your favorite barbeque sauce, if desired. This recipe for Barbecued
Portabella Brisket serves/makes 4.
