Almond Rice Pilaf
Yield: 4 Servings
- 4 c Hot cooked rice
- 1/4 c Sliced green onion
- 2 tb Sliced almonds; toasted
- 1 ts Low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 ts Salt
Mix.Rice Pilaf with Pecans
Categories:
Yield: 6 Servings
- 1 Carrot; cut into thin strip
- 1 Onion; chopped
- 1 tb Olive oil
- 2 1/2 c Chicken broth
- 1/2 c Orange juice
- 1 1/2 c Uncooked long grain rice
- 1/4 c Golden raisins
- 1 1/2 ts Sugar
- 1/2 ts Salt
- 3 tb Chopped pecans
Saute onion and carrot about 5 minutes in hot oil. Add chicken broth,
orange juice, rice, raisins, sugar and salt. Cover, reduce heat, and
simmer until liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes. Sprinkle with nuts.
