Candied Pork Chops
- 6 medium pork chops
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1-1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1 each lemon, sliced
- 3 cups ketchup
- 2 tablespoons corn oil
- 1/2 cup water
. Salt and pepper each steak/chop to taste. Brown steak/chops in large
fry pan for 5 minutes each side. Remove venison and drain juice. Cover
each piece of meat with toppings as follows: Completely cover each
piece with ketchup. Sprinkle each piece with brown sugar in the center
of the steak or chop. Add water to pan; cover and simmer on low heat
for 1 hour. Remove from pan and serve with toppings intact.
Cider Vinegar Pork Chops
- 4-6 center cut pork chops 1/2 to 1-inch thick (the thinner the
better)
- 1 1/2 c. cider vinegar
- 3-4 cloves garlic, sliced thin
- Salt and pepper
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
Marinade pork chops in cider vinegar 4-6 hours, turning occasionally.
Fry pork chops in marinade over high heat 2-4 minutes on each side.
Remove pork chops; discard cider vinegar. Clean pan well. Heat oil
in pan; add sliced garlic and fry until golden brown. Return chops
to pan. Fry over low heat with cover. Turning chops occasionally,
cook until golden brown about 45 minutes.
