Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits
- 2 c Bisquick
- 1/2 c cold water
- 3/4 c grated, sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 c butter
- 1 t. parsley flakes
- 1/2 t. garlic powder
- 1/2 t. Italian seasoning
Bake at 450 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, brush with the butter and
spices - you know the drill. However, you cannot make the EXACT biscuits,
because they have a special butter/garlic sauce that is not available
to the general public. See how they are!! Outback
Steakhouse Aussie Fries
- 1 lb. of frozen french fries
- 1 c shredded Colby or Jack cheese
- 6 pieces of cooked bacon
Heat oil to 350 degrees. If you do not have a thermostat, make sure
the oil is hot enough so that when you set a french fry in the oil
it cooks immediately. If the french fry sinks to the bottom and barely
bubbles, the oil is not hot enough. Fry the potatoes in small batches;
they are done when they are golden brown and float to the top of the
skillet. ( I like to use a Dutch Oven). Be sure to drain the potatoes
on paper towels. You can keep them warm in the oven while the other
fries are done. When all french fries are done cooking and are drained,
place them on a platter, salt if you like, and sprinkle on cheese
and cooked bacon. Pop these back into a warm oven until the cheese
begins to melt. Here is what Jane Coyle suggested for the dipping
sauce that is normally served with the fries.
- 16 oz. bottle ranch dressing
- 2 T. paprika
- 1 T. cayenne pepper
- 1 t. dried thyme
- 1 t. dried oregano
- 1 t. white pepper
- 1 t. black pepper
- 1 T. kosher salt
- 1 T. garlic powder
- 1 T. onion powder
Combine all ingredients. Refrigerate overnight for the best flavor.
