broccoli casserole
Ingredients:
- 4 cup chopped broccoli, cooked & drained
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 3/4 cup Ritz cracker crumbs, buttered
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup green pepper, diced
- 1 cup water chestnuts, sliced
Instructions:
Blend mayonnaise and sour cream with onion and pepper. In lightly
greased casserole dish, layer broccoli, then mayonnaise and sour
cream mixture, then water chestnuts. Begin again with same layers
until all used. Sprinkle cheese on top and Ritz crackers over cheese.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes in 350 degree oven.
cheese soufflé casserole
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 8 slices bread with crust removed
- 8 ounces cheddar, Swiss or American cheese grated
- 1 cup cooked and chopped meat or shrimp, optional
- 1 cup light cream or milk
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- paprika
Instructions:
Lightly grease slow cooker/Crock Pot. Alternate layers of bread
and cheese and if desired, meat. Beat together eggs, milk, salt
and parsley. Pour over bread and cheese in slow cooker/Crock Pot.
Sprinkle top with paprika. Cover and cook on HIGH 30 minutes, then
turn to LOW for 3-4 hours.
